The University of Wisconsin-Madison established the Office of Compliance in 2016 to support compliance efforts across the university. The Office of Compliance is directly responsible for ensuring the University’s compliance with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Wisconsin Public Records Law, the privacy portion of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Title IX, and to investigate allegations of discrimination.
The Office of Compliance also partners with external campus entities holding compliance responsibilities to meet our institutional compliance obligations and uphold our ethical standards in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements and ethical best practices based on UW Madison’s teaching, research and scholarly values and culture.
We look forward to working with you.
Cathy Trueba, Director
Office of Compliance
