Letissa Reid serves as the Equal Opportunity Investigation Program Coordinator in the Office of Compliance. Prior to joining the University, Letissa worked as an independent consultant investigating allegations of hostile workplace conduct. Letissa also served as the Interim Assistant Director for UWM’s Office of Equity and Diversity Services where she led investigations into complaints concerning employment and sex-based discrimination involving employees and students. In addition, Letissa practiced law, with an emphasis on regulatory compliance, commercial and administrative litigation, at a Chicago-based national law firm. As a regulatory attorney, she enforced environmental permitting and other environmental compliance standards for a Fortune 500 Corporation. Letissa also represented utility companies and other natural gas and power enterprises before federal, state and local tribunals in connection with establishing consumer energy rates and other litigation.
Letissa began her legal career as a judicial law clerk for the Illinois Appellate Court, First District. Letissa holds a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Michigan and is a law graduate of the Indiana University School of Law –Bloomington.
